Start broad, then protect what matters

Begin with the Pokémon you want to review, then add exclusions for favorites, shinies, costumes, Shadows, recent catches, or anything else you never want selected by a cleanup search.

Understand the operators

AND narrows the result, OR accepts either condition, and NOT excludes a condition. Preview the generated string and review the in-game results before transferring Pokémon.

Search for PvP candidates before cleanup

A low star rating does not rule out a useful Great or Ultra League Pokémon. Review individual Attack, Defense, and HP IVs in the PvP checker before transferring candidates. A storage search cannot tell you their exact PvP rank.

Common questions

Does the builder transfer Pokémon?

No. It only creates a search string. You paste it into Pokémon GO and remain in control of every transfer.

Where are saved searches stored?

Saved searches are stored locally in this browser, not in a PogoTools account.

How do AND, OR, and NOT work in Pokémon GO searches?

Use & for AND, a comma for OR, and ! before a term for NOT. For example, fire,water finds either type; fire&flying requires both types; !shiny excludes shinies. These examples use English game keywords.

Can I safely transfer everything a cleanup search finds?

No filter can identify everything you value. Check the results, protect favorites, and review PvP candidates and rare forms before transferring. PogoTools cannot undo an in-game transfer.
